A Golden Age of China: Qianlong Emperor, 1736–1795 tells the story of China’s foremost art collector Qianlong Emperor, one of China’s most successful rulers, fourth emperor of the Qing dynasty (1644–1911) and longest living emperor in Chinese history.

Qianlong: The Exhibition Entrance

This piece was designed to be installed for the main entrance into the exhibition, evoking ritual and forming a separation from the outside world.

Originally composed for surround sound to support a gallery space featuring multiple screens displaying moving images of the forbidden city.
